From Kip Bedell, one of the true pioneers of the Long Island
wine industry (his fans and industry compatriots call him
"Mr. Merlot") tends some of the oldest vines on the North
Fork. A fanatic for attention to detail in the vineyards,
he has consistently released some of the region's most flavorful
and serious wines.
From a blend of the best and oldest section of this spectacular
vineyard comes a stunning wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon,
Cabernet Franc and Merlot. From a fantastic vintage, it is
full of black cherry and warm plum flavors with hints of strawberry
and raspberry lead wrapped up in a rich, mouth-filling tannin
and soft acidity package.
