Seneca Lake
A well-balanced blend of Chelois, Chancellor, Marechel Foch and Baco Noir emphasizing flavors of fresh berries and plums. A rich and smooth, totally satisfying drink.
Hudson Valley
Like a lighter style Chianti, this is a deliciously soft and fruity red made from Rougeon - perfect for pasta and pizza.
Seneca Lake
Well-balanced blend of Baco Noir and Rougeon, evidencing flavors
of fresh fruit. Rich and smooth.
New
York is a treasure trove of soft lighter whites. With just
a touch of residual sugar, these easy sipping wines are a
delight as an aperitif, or when you want a wine with bursting
fruit to remind you of summer. (Remember, January is White's
Sale Month at Vintage New York and Rivendell - these wines
and many more are all on Sale!)
Seneca Lake
A semi-dry, light, brightly flavored blend of Cayuga and Riesling. Its lively acidity balances just the slight residual sweetness. Good for just sipping or serving with light foods. Made from organically-grown grapes.
Keuka Lake
This semi-dry white wine has a light lilac nose, and delicate flavors of citrus and tropical fruits. It is bright and refreshing.
Seneca Lake
A crisp, pleasantly fruity blend of regional hybrid grapes. Tantalizing flavors of lychee and grapefruit.
One
of New York’s strongest suits; late harvest wines of
great quality are produced by almost every winery in the State.
These three will astound you with their complexity and style.
Sure they’re expensive, but the best things usually
are. Each of these wines is made in such small quantity that
this may be your only opportunity to acquire them.
Long Island
Late Harvest Gewürztraminer. A lush dessert wine exploding with complexity. Honeysuckle, peach and hazelnut dominate the palate. Sweet with 15.8% RS and balanced with perfection. Winner of the BEST DESSERT WINE in the 2001 New York Wine & Food Classic.
Long Island
One of their greatest achievements to date. The grapes used to make this wine were hand-harvested over
a period of two weeks in early November. Crafted in the style of French Sauternes, the wine was fermented and aged for
five months in brand new barrels made of oak from the Vosges Mountains, in France. The solid golden hue suggests an intense
wine - and it definitely delivers. Pleasantly perfumed floral aromas delight the nose, a qualified candidate for vinous
aromatherapy. Very concentrated fruit flavors range from hints of citrus to distinct tastes of quince and litchi.
The wine is rich and sweet, and has ample acidity to balance the sugar, resulting in a sensational, full-bodied dessert wine
with a long finish. The oak embellishes the wine by imparting a subtle nutty flavor and by increasing complexity.
Hudson Valley
Fresh and focused late harvest, port-style Seyval. Overtones of pear, peach and a hint of dark chocolate make this a
truly delicious - and very different - dessert wine. A great choice to end a special dinner.
